ABOUT US
Who We Are
Our Mission
A specially equipped vehicle, affectionately named “Claire,” recently joined our team to travel through disadvantaged areas of the Outaouais region. Supported by a dedicated team of around 50 people, this initiative involves regular activities such as meal preparation and distribution, providing active listening and comfort, and directing those in need to community and public health resources.
We have formed partnerships with several local restaurants. The support from Moisson Outaouais and Escouade Anti-Gaspillage Outaouais enhances our ability to fight hunger. Collaborations with CIPTO and BRAS also allow us to offer training and preventive measures to our volunteers.
These strategic partnerships are vital to the success of our efforts to tackle homelessness and food insecurity. We are deeply grateful to our partners who share our commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
Our Story
With over 10,000 members on Facebook, Itinérance Zéro has successfully mobilized a team of dedicated volunteers who passionately and generously devote their time to supporting the homeless. Our cooks meticulously prepare more than 4,000 quality hot meals each month, which are distributed in the Vieux-Hull, Notre-Dame, and Pointe-Gatineau neighborhoods. This collective effort reflects our commitment to making a significant difference in the lives of those affected by homelessness.

Rain or shine, Ben patrols the city late at night in his own vehicle. His presence is particularly crucial on extremely cold nights, ensuring no one is forced to sleep on the streets. Ben also works to raise public awareness about homelessness and rebuild trust in the public system. He exemplifies committed leadership and unwavering determination in the fight against homelessness.
